Choice of WA lens for FF Nikon body - mst - 05-26-2011
Great! I will try to wait, but there is a 16-35 sort of winking at me! What do you think Markus?
Well, the 16-35 does have its shortcomings (see the review), but in general it's nonetheless a lens to like. I just switched back to it myself. It's not the best wide angle zoom, optically, but I like the combination of wide angle and VR. PLus, it takes filters ... and doesn't flare like crazy <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> -- Markus Choice of WA lens for FF Nikon body - Steinar1 - 05-27-2011
Well, the 16-35 does have its shortcomings (see the review), but in general it's nonetheless a lens to like. My mind is made up <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Choice of WA lens for FF Nikon body - Guest - 05-27-2011
Well I don't think the 2 degrees are worth 500€ and I prefer having a filter opportunity and the piqué is still pretty good and it makes more sense as an all round street report lense. Choice of WA lens for FF Nikon body - Steinar1 - 05-29-2011 So be it <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' /> , I ordered the 16-35! Wish me luck with it. Choice of WA lens for FF Nikon body - Yakim - 05-29-2011 Good luck. Choice of WA lens for FF Nikon body - Steinar1 - 06-09-2011 A little update. I have had and tried the 16-35 for a while now and find that it is for me he ideal street, city travel and reportage lens. In spite of its size, it gives me everything I want when visiting or reporting on a city and the filter option is a real plus when shooting water and landscapes. I use a Hoya PRO polarizer and the rendition is great. My flash covers the whole width and I am a happy camper with this one.
