Next PZ lens test report: Nikon AF-S 16-35mm f/4 VR (Nikon DX) - mst - 11-07-2010
This is a first for me: a lab only report.
I'm afraid you'll have to get used to it, though. In the future, lenses tested on FX will be reviewed on DX in the lab only, no more in the field. Please try to see it positive, though: this will most likely help to increase the review frequency.
Regarding the lens: nice one on DX. If I was a DX only shooter, though, I'd rather choose the 16-85 VR instead.

It's quite a lot of trouble considering what it's equivalent to on FF (36mm f/2.1)...
D700 + AF-S 35 1.8 (DX but covers FX right?): $2380 + $185 = [color="#00FF00"]$2565[/color]
D700 + AF-D 35 2: $2380 + $310 = [color="#00FF00"]$2690[/color]
24 1.4G + Cheapest DX body (D3000): $2000 + $550 = [color="#FF0000"]$2550[/color]
Make the body $1500 if you're talking about something comparable to a D700 in DX (i.e. D300s).

You are referring to the 24/1.4 here, not the 16-35 VR <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':blink:' />
