Don't forget the Carl Zeiss 35 1.4 Distagon that was just announced too. Canon is due for an update next.

It wuld not surprise me if the Canon optically already is in the same league. But yes, this is one of the very few non-weather sealed L-lenses, and a typical non-studio lens at that. So it will be updated in the near future.
