Switch to windows????
Uhm... how are you using DPP? Either on a mac or windows, right? Why switch to windows? The mentioned software is available for mac os x, you know.

I'm on Linux. I use DPP via XP mounted on VirtualBox. It works but not so well. That's why I think about switching to Windows 7. As you could probably understand, I really like DPP.... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='

Windows 7 does work very, very well for me, since the betas already. I am currently running 64-bit 7, and I haven't looked back since. I have been using Windows since Windows 386, and 7 is the most stable version there ever was, for me anyway, even better than XP.
The only thing that is a minor point, is that some older hardware (e.g. old printers and scanners) may not work with it, as there may not be any drivers for it.

I don't know if it will work ... but rather than letting the XP run in VirtualBox, you could try "Wine".
I cannot tell if DPP will run under wine ... but if it does, it will be considerably faster than
within the VirtualBox.

I tried WINE. It works well with DPP3.1 but I have a 7D and it does not work with DPP3.8.
