If the optics render like the one for Sony FE mount, this should be a rather lovely lens to own. Of course, for those who want/need/enjoy using large apertures/shallow DOF.

Look at the size of that back element. Clear why that for instance rules out a Nikon F-mount version. I wonder if the "flare mask" will introduce mechanical vignetting and oddly shaped bokeh balls.

The thing that I'm wondering about - why is that flare mask not painted in matte black?

Because you get better flares if you don't paint it black [Image: biggrin.png] It's all for retro style, ya know?
