What's ironic is that if it hadn't been for my wife, I'd probably not be on this forum! Back in 2007 when preparing our 6-month honey moon trip, she wanted us to document it with photographs. I wasn't that hot to the idea (and had never really used a camera back then). Little by little, she convinced me and I bought a Pentax K10D with a couple of lenses (Sigma 17-70, Sigma 70-300, Pentax A-50 1.4). I had maybe a couple of months to understand photography basics and practice before our departure. It really grew on me and pretty soon I was hooked :-) Without her, this would probably have never happened. Interestingly, today is the opposite: I'm trying to push her to get into photography, but with a baby and a toddler, she doesn't have much time/energy left. I bought her a Panasonic GM5 with an Olympus 17mm f1.8 (and Pany 14 f2.5) which she uses occasionally to shoot the kids. She enjoys it but I'm still hoping she would take it more "seriously" in the future... Fingers crossed ;-) (12-10-2018, 06:24 AM)davidmanze Wrote:Hey Dave,(12-08-2018, 07:40 PM)thxbb12 Wrote: Good idea David. Lots of technical discussions but almost non-existent photography. Some neat work, I have almost the same shots of water flowing around rocks !!!! For landscape I tend to use much longer focal lengths, you are very at ease with ultrawides and know how to use their potential thumbs up RE: After many years here at PZ/OL....... - marcello - 12-11-2018 here my works, mainly landscapes and potraits. 500px link https://500px.com/marcello_donofrio my instagram https://www.instagram.com/marcello.donofrio/ RE: After many years here at PZ/OL....... - davidmanze - 12-11-2018 (12-11-2018, 01:04 AM)marcello Wrote: here my works, mainly landscapes and portraits.
