Is there any possibility to test lenses at different magnification ratio? - Le Kuai - 08-12-2019

When I was reading some non-professional lens reviews at other websites, I found that the optical performance of some lenses vary according to the magnification ratio, which means the optical test results differ at different focus distance. I just wonder is there any possibility to perform optical test and show the results of each lens at different magnification ratio on OpticalLimits?

In theory - yes, in practice - no.
At one stage we considered testing macro lenses at max magnification but the thing is - the testing procedure consumes lots of time already.
Given the revenue from ads these days it is absolutely prohibitive to test more aspects. Essentially this website is back into hobby mode really.
If it was just about commercial aspects, we would have stopped 2 years ago.
