Updated Pentax lens roadmap 2020 - Klaus - 05-16-2020

They added a new:
- HD Pentax-DA 16-50mm f/2.8
- HD Pentax-D 21mm f/? Limited - given its size, it seems to be something faster

Right. It doesn't say on the roadmap but on the video, the zoom - a DA* actually - has a PLM drive, extremely fast but only suitable for light focus group. The lens' optical design was altered accordingly.
And the Limited (D FA) has a DC focus motor and is weather resistant.

Both lenses should be expected next year (according to the recent presentation). The D FA* 85mm f/1.4 should be launched soon.

I didn't notice the 21mm lens picture ........ it certainly is a quite a bit bigger than the pancake version ......

Clearly much bigger than the DA 21mm f/3.2. But that's to be expected - it's a FF lens, it is likely faster, and it has modern optics with (most likely) a much more uniform performance. Then, there's the built-in AF motor (DC) and (likely) the electronically controlled aperture mechanism.
It seems it's a bit bigger than the FA 31mm Limited - perhaps about the 28-105's size?
