RE: Next OL lens test report: Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary - Brightcolours - 07-03-2020 Cool lens, Sigma! So for EOS M there is the standard 3 primes of old: Canon EF-M 22mm f2 STM (35mm f3.2 FF equivalent) Canon EF-M 32mm f1.4 STM (50mm f2.2 FF equivalent) Sigma 56mm f1.4 DC DN (89mm f2,2 FF equivalent) How traditional! Brings me back to my Nikkormat times. RE: Next OL lens test report: Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary - MatjazO - 07-03-2020 Great to see the review. Indeed, it very much reflects my impresions of the lens. Solid housing, sharp results and very nice OOF rendering. On m43 this becomes a perfect outdoor portrait lens. And very much matches a combo I used in APSC Pentax days with 77 lmtd. Only caveat I have is somehow hesitant AF on Pana m43 body. Nothing major, however it is there. I thought of missing DFD at first, however none of my Oly lenses does the same. Out of pure curiosity I wonder what is the reason for this. Overall, fantastic little lens. Samyang also offers some neat manual focus lenses for EOSM 10-12 and 16mm cover the ulltrawide range, and with adapter the whole range of Canon EF, Sometines I wonder if it was a good decision to go EOSR instead of EOSM, especially I can see myself using 750D and 7D2 for landscape more and more and using EOSRP almost exclusively to shoot my kids... However I recon being just for my little kids pictures, what EOSRP gave is priceless and was very well worth the investment |
