Apparently, the brand name is now owned by JMM Lee Properties, LLC

Interestingly, they didn't "inherit" the original Minolta logo.

The font looks pretty similar though.
But weren't they already established as "a thing" before, as KonicaMinolta?

Well, so far I thought that Minolta and all its photographic assets were taken over by Sony.
But it seems that the brand name wasn't part of it.
However, these cameras were certainly not designed by previous Minolta engineers.

It seemed that for a while after the acquisition of the photographic assets by Sony, KonicaMinolta continued for at least some time in the office machinery niche. But what happened to them after, I don't know (remember also the rumors that they might be making micro 4/3 lenses?)
