Forums > Back > Why can't I post in "news"
#1
Hi Klaus et al

If I have something, which I feel is news, why can't I post there? If it is not equipment related I feel I have to use "just talk" which also doesn't fully fit. Could we have a "general photography" column?

I assume it's only for machine generated content (feed).

Are you suggesting Klaus is a machine <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> He also starts threads in there.

That was the exception for the SLR Magic announcement. This is really meant for press releases only.

Thanks for clarifying. So my very special friend "News Generator" has its own forum <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' /> Didn't realise that before.

I have to say, I still news posted by real humans (forum members and mods) to these press releases. Real humans tend to provide some form of comment - e.g. whether they like or dislike. News Generator is just so sterile - If I were a mod I would have banned him years ago for spamming the forum <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />
