The forum software features a private conversation feature which is the primary weapon of choice for flame wars and kindergarten level attacking.

Now back to topic please.

Calling our interchange "kindergarten level attacking" is a flame in itself.

Higher resolution and higher DR will always be demanded.

1. High DR

a. Wedding photography – try to photograph white dress of bride while you keep details in black cloths of bridegroom. In this case the weding photographer search a way to escapes from LIMITED DR – mostly used the limited DR creatively.

b. Landscape

– Gradual ND filters. Nobody wants to use them - Expensive cumbersome and last but not at least deteriorate the IQ.. Unfortunately the current camera/lenses offers limited DR

– Bracketing – nobody like it, but most landscape photographers do it.

2. High resolution demands – easy to give some examples.

I’m sure that if you think for one minute you can easily extend this list with several new items.

Back to main topic.

As already Lomskij mentioned I have some doubts about the higher DR capability of Pentax. The sensor density is equal to Canon/Sony/Nikon 3x FF cameras.

PS: I don’t discuss the sensor size topic deliberately. It’s never ending forum topic.

Miro
