It remains a pretty good lens. However, the AF performance is unusable.

Did you try the adapter with SSM lenses?
Do you think that the automatic aperture is worth having the adapter?

There's not real value-add on the NEX-5 I think. The display does basically provide a depth-of-field preview but without the viewfinder darkening present in DSLRs.
The AF behavior is much better with the 30/2.8 and 18-55/3.5-5.6 (Alpha) - but it's still not great. I didn't test the 70-300 SSM.
