I used ACDSee until about 6 months ago when I switched to lightroom. While ACDSee was fast and I do still use it as a browser, I found that using it as a DAM solution was totally unacceptable, it was way to unstable for that and almost impossible to keep my desktop and laptop synced. I was constantly loosing my catalog and had update catalog information as well as it kept getting lost.

I have not had any of these problems since switching to LR3.
