Happy New Year to all of you, lenses aficionados!!! :-D
My resolution for 2020 is to reduce my GAS (Gear Acquisition Syndrome)...
I started to consolidate my gear by selling a bunch of lenses (Panasonic 12-60 f3.5-5.6, Panasonic 35-100 f2.8, Fuji 18-55, Fuji 10-24, Fuji 23 f1.4) and body (Olympus E-M10 II).
My kit is now:
- Panasonic GX9
- Panasonic GM5
- Olympus 12-100 f4
- Fuji X-T20
- Fuji 14 f2.8
- Fuji 18 f2
- Fuji 35 f1.4
- Fuji 56 f1.2
- Panasonic 12-32 f3.5-5.6
- Panasonic 14 f2.5
And the use cases:
Travel
Pany GX9 + Oly 12-100 f4 for most shooting situations
X-T20 + Fuji 35 f1.4 for DOF control scenarios (mostly portraits)
X-T20 + Fuji 14 f2.8 for wide landscapes (when 24mm equivalent is not wide enough)
Ultimate compact kit
Pany GM5 + Pany 12-32 or Pany 14
Compact kit with DOF control - normal FOV
Fuji X-T20 + Fuji 35 f1.4
Compact kit with (some) DOF control - wide FOV
Fuji X-T20 + Fuji 18 f2
Hiking
Pany GX9 + Oly 12-100 f4
I have to say I'm very impressed by the Oly 12-100 f4 (received it last week). Given the range, the IQ is very impressive!
