The Ultra-Micro-NIKKOR is a specialised industrial lens, fixed focus. It was often used in the semiconductor industry.

The 55mm f3.5 micro was from my father, it is a nice little lens for close ups and macro. Not so much as standard zoom, these "early" versions are very soft at infinity. Later series changed the optics a little, moving some elements differently instead of moving the whole system as one. This made them a tad less sharp and bokehlishious at close up distances but perform better at infinity.

The 55mm f2.8 micro was given to me recently. It is nice as standard prime too, as it is sharp also at infinity. The lens is in immaculate state, like new, even though it dates from the early 80's.

The Canon FL 55mm f1.2 I acquired very recently. It will need conversion still. Optically it is in immaculate state (as are the other lenses).

The Nikkor-S•C 55mm f1.2 I also acquired recently.

I am going to try both f1.2's to see which character I like best. I chose the Nikkor 55mm f1.2 over the Nikkor 50mm f1.2, because supposedly its bokeh character is a bit more agreeable. I chose the S*C version over the "K" and "AI" version, because the samples I have seen from the S•C version were more pleasant to me, bokeh wise. The optics have changed on the latter two versions, they gained CRC.

The Canon FL 55mm f1.2 seems to have quite smooth bokeh. I will try both, and see whichone I will keep for large aperture "normal" on FF and/or portrait lens on APS-C. And yes, I did put an Eg-S focus screen in my camera, to aid MF  .
