Forums > Back > Help with uploading to gallery
#1
I was trying to add some pictures to a gallery I just created, but I am unable to do so.<img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> I tried looking at the help files, but find nothing regarding size of files. Is there a max size or what else could be the reason that I cannot seem to succeed in uploading a simple jpeg file? I apologize for my ignorance, but a little help would be appreciated, so that I can finally participate with some of my own images. <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

There is a maximum amount of images that you can upload. If you uploaded several images it is likely that you hit the limit. Just delete a couple of the existing ones in this case.

I am trying but nothing happens! Sounds stupid, buyt when I click to upload I am able to select one of my files, only when I click to cchoose it, the whole thing disappears. What am I doing wrong? These are normal jpeg files.

I created an album for the first time today and the process is not really clear. After uploading the image, you have to click on the review and publish link that appears under the upload button. On my first few attempts, I thought that after the image was uploaded, I needed to click on upload for the next image. I did this for a few images only to discover nothing was in the album. I had not reviewed and published. I hope this helps.

You will have to "finish and publish" on the following page.

Yep, that is what I figured out. Worked great after I noticed the "review and publish" link that appeared below the "Upload" button.<img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /><img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Rolleyes' />

The buttons are all too small admittedly.

Thank you all! I finally found my way to publish my first images on this forum! Klaus, I honestly think you need a better explanation in the help pages. It is not difficult once you know how, but finding the procedure without help is virtually impossible. I generally find my way around a PC and the net, but this one was too hard <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' /> ! Now I will try to use some of those images to keep the WA close up thread going. Wish me luck <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

This is an off-the-shelve forum and gallery engine I'm afraid ...

I appreciate that, but can't you add some notes to the help pages to create a better explanation? I think the engine works fine once you find your way around it, but until then.......[Image: dry.gif]
