Nikon rumors teases about D600:

Maybe this is a reason why Nikon updated non-pro prime lens line-up.
The reason Nikon is updating its prime line up mainly has to do with the missing lens motor in certain models. That made it a priority.
Hmh, yes it's also true but most Nikon primes where outdated, same thing is now with Canon non-L primes.
Also Nikon FF camera models does have a built-in AF motor.

So are you suggesting that it may be a FF camera without an motor?
I wonder how much it costs Nikon to put a motor in the camera...
So D600 is not what I'm waiting for. I'm still hoping there will be a D800 body with D4 sensor.
If they really are going for a low(er) priced body, then stripping out everything they can is a logical step.
