That camera was purchased at 1.320.000 EUR on the 19th auction last year...

The price is doubled in one year... quite an investment <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />...

It was not the same sample last year, different serial number... But yes, quite an investment!

Wow with such camera even I can make nice pictures :-)

What I really wonder me is the price of new Leica-M Monochrom – nice looking retro camera, modern BW film-rol and 7500 Euro.

Yes, my mistake... But the same model I guess... I wonder what makes a difference of one million euros... Can it be the lens cover ? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />...

Well Miro, if you find the Leica-M Monochrom too pricy, then check the "Hermes" version <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />...

The difference is just a different auction with different bidders <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Thanks for the info Serkisan.

I will definitely take your suggestion my next camera buy :-)

I’m sure that quality of my photographs will be improved dramatically, even more I will never miss the shoot, I will make such dramatical BW prints like never before.

PS: With limited edition Leica proofs once again that they are targeting the collectors group only.

Sometimes I think perhaps Leica should learn the now Zeiss to make lenses only (maybe some film cameras also) <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />
