The MTFs look good but the borders/corners in the sample images are not that convincing actually.

Yeah... I think I will be keeping my 18-55mm. But I must say that, if money was tight, a $100 kit lens that starts at 16mm would be very interesting.

Kinda irritating that Fuji makes a premium "18-55" and does a kit "16-50". That damned 24mm equivalent was probably better suited for a premium lens. Also a plastic mount doesn't entirely meets the X concept, I think ?

 

Still nice for the price, I suppose.
