According to Panasonic they improved the noise performance by 3db compared to the GH1.
And the GH1 sensor is basically as good as a 12mp APS-C sensor (unlike the 12mp sensor used in the G1/2, E-P1/P2).
ISO 12800 will stretch things, of course, but it will not be worse than on the EOS 7D and the likes.

Pricing in Germany (MSRP inc. 19% tax):

body w/14-42: 1000EUR
body w/14-140: 1550EUR
Hum. I wonder if they also improved the EVF (which was rather good on the gh1). Looks interesting though a bit pricey. Also what lenses can handle the pixel density ?

The 14-45 seems good enough to handle it. The 20mm too (at least center frame). The 7-14 doesn't look too bad either. All of these, according to DPR, go beyond nyquist frequency of G1 in the center area of the frame wide open or half a stop closed.
