Not bad for such high ISO.

looks way plasticy



but it will be same for Nikon D7000 and Sony A580. All identical sensors.

Yes, still very good results for such a high ISO.



On the other hand it doesn't have very representative lighting conditions for such a high ISO. usually the lighting would be a lot higher in contrast (night street scenes, concerts, etc) which would completely destroy the image.

Do we really need such high ISO?

If the sony sensor can do a well clean 3200 and a 6400 that can be worked on in pp I am already happy!



On the plus side though... I like to use noise to create an old BW film-grain feel in some cases. Yes, I could do it post processing giving the fact that I need to do the BW conversion, but I prefer to let the "grain" come randomly!!
