See http://forum.photozo...-25095-samples/ for discussion/samples from the 25/.95 lens for mFT.
Lenses: Cosina 25 0.95 vs. Canon 50 1.8 Weight: 410g vs. 130g Filter size: 52mm vs. 52mm Volume: 188cm[sup]3[/sup] vs. 149cm[sup]3[/sup] AF: No vs. Yes Price: $1000 vs. $95 Like I said in that post you linked to... some people go through so much trouble to get roughly the same thing that's available elsewhere <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Use "." instead of "," as the decimal point (put 6.67 m).
Thanks, now it makes sense... If I were an aircraft designer, this mistake would cause the plane to crash <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Regards, Serkan

Admit it sir grumpy, the rules of optics are very interesting and also un-put-downable... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Personally I prefer the results of the optics, namely the images, realizing I will never be an optical engineer. Have you got your D700 yet? Kind regards Vieux Loup

Thanks. My prime interest is dynamic range
Sony has a nice trick called DRO which enhances DR. I just got me first Sony yesterday and haven't had a chance to play with it but web tests look promising.
However I guess the question is at what point is the camera "good enough" for the intended uses?
Wise words. Personally, I went from 1D to 40D to 7D and have just added the A33. IQ is good enough for me and and other benefits I find in this sensor size (size, weight, cost, EF-S lenses, AF etc.) mean that I won't be buying any FF body in the near future.

I hope this week I will get it. I should have been delivered last weekend, but what can you do?... Good things don't come earlier in life...

I've bought stuff there, but I was fortunate enough to work at a place very close to their brick store for a while <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='B)' />. Nice guys, with a passion for photography and good service. Kind regards, Wim

Another advantage of FF not listed yet is the availability of wide angle primes.
There are no equivalent of the high end 14/2.8, 24/1.4, or 35/1.4. Neither there is for their affordable F/2 counterparts. |
