That is very peculiar in view of what's shown on many other websites.

Why? According to IR, A55 does better than 7D for resolution
http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/E7D/E7DIMAGING.HTM
"Our laboratory resolution chart showed the Canon 7D's images with sharp, distinct line patterns down to about *2,100 lines per picture height horizontally and 2,000* lines vertically. Extinction occurred at about 3,100 lines in both directions"
http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/AA55/AA55IMAGING.HTM
"In camera JPEGs of our laboratory resolution chart revealed sharp, distinct line patterns down to about *2,200 lines per picture height in the horizontal direction, and about 2,100* lines per picture height in the vertical direction. Complete extinction of the pattern didn't occur until about 2,800 to 3,000 lines."
First of all read this article, then talk about resolution chart values.

show examples, you have both Pentax K-5 and Nikon D7000 ? I have both cameras - pentax captures same amount of details. What review team ? dpreview.com which are testing lenses instead of cameras ?
That's great! Can you show some side-by-side comparison shots?
Klauss, I don't think you need bother getting the camera serviced or replaced. The K5 has very strong built-in RAW NR. Pentax used to implement mandatory NR for RAW only at ISO 3200 and above. Now, they've really gone overboard... in their quest for 'seemingly higher DR' at low ISO. Sigh..
But it should not stop you from reviewing Pentax lenses, should it?
Is there a proof for this ?
It is hard to distinguish NR from blur on micro level but the edges appear to be too uniform to be NRed. That's just a guess of course.
However, even so the AA filter removal should make a difference.

Yes, however, the world is gray. The characteristic of an AA filter remains a matter of taste.
Olympus started with thick AA filters - now they're down to marginal ones.
Pentax did it opposite it seems.

I reckon Markus can provide some chart samples from his D7000 for a comparison.
However, I reckon the max. LW/PHs will be quite a bit higher.

This is not true.
Pentax applies NR on RAW data in their Prime engine from ISO 3200 and above only.
Below 3200, there is no NR applied as measured by GordonBGood and stated here:

The lack of pixel sharpness is very likely stemming from a strong AA filter only.

The exposure differences make a comparison very tricky. The D7000 seems to have the cleaner edges AFAICT.
