Thanks for the clarification. I have never used a tilt shift lens before. Heck, I have never seen one in person! I definitely would like to play with one someday as I love to learn new techniques. Your statement above helped me to put the usefulness of a t/s lens a little more into perspective. (no pun intended)

Bringing things back on topic... at a recent big photo exhibition here in Melbourne, the Pentax people were the least bit helpful. I wanted to try the 645D but for them I probably didn't fit their profile for a typical buyer so they refused to let me try it. But I went to the PhaseOne booth instead and got to play with the P65+ on a 645DF and the Schneider 110 f/2.8 (probably could've bought several 645D for the price of that combo)! There was even a guy from the PhaseOne head-office who really knew his stuff and explained a lot of things...

I would have asked the PhaseOne people if I could take the P65 setup over to the Pentax booth and ask to take the jerks picture....LOL.

Good one but I don't think the Pentax guys would've known what it was in the first place... for example, they kept insisting that the 645D had a "full frame 645 medium format" sensor... ugh!

lol... Oh, and don't get me started on customer service! Most of the time, when you walk in to a shop they expect you to open a briefcase, show the money and hand it to them before you can ask a question about what they have. And the prices are usually 2x or AUD1000 more than the price+shipping at B&H... and you know they're saying f*** y** with their eyes when they quote the price, you don't even want to bother asking for a better price <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='
