So I can't see any other Nikon lens beating that.[/quote]

I can <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

But in this case, the teasing wouldn't come from Klaus <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Wink' />

Which takes us back to Canon...

Yeah, it's really a small market nowadays ... <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

Well, it's not a zoom lens.

And, just to calm the enthusiasm - it will not be a 5* rating in the full format scope.

For the price/performance ratio maybe new Pentax DA 35mm F2,4? <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />

awwww man, I was hoping that it was going to be the Jupiter 37A F3.5. [Image: laugh.gif] I am sure that some of the other guesses are closer though.

Jupiter 37A, Tair 11A and other "ugly-but-sharp" ones wouldn't get 5 stars, but I'm with you Bryan... Although these could not be tested on Nikon, I desperately would like to see the FF test results on Canon.

Then I would say the new Cosina Voigtlaender 90mm APO Lanthar SL-II...Although nothing has been changed in structure, maybe it looks better on a Canon...

Not from what I have seen as samples from that lens...

But hey, you never know!

We do know it is not a Pentax lens... as Klaus is waiting still on his butchered K5 <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Big Grin' />
