It isn't flawless, of course. Just closer than most. And it has 9 elements.

Is it shorter or longer than 50mm (FF equivalent)?... or exactly 20mm?

Hi Kalus,

Up until now I have never looked at stars given by PZ.

Klaus can you give me some links with explanation how to read the star index for dummies.

Sorry for stupid question.

The reason that I ask is that up until now I live in mistaken world where any 60….105 macro are optically better than the best WA/UWA.

Thanks in advance,

Miro

There's a link besides the verdict actually.

However, don't worry regarding your view of the world. The lens is worse than -say- the CZ135/1.8 on a full format DSLR ... at least in a couple of aspects.

So how many stars are lost due to vignetting full frame? This lens is suppose to be very good from the samples I've seen (I think I mentioned I wish the 85ZA and 24ZA could be adopted to EOS). I will say that if a quality 35f2 ZA or 35-70F4 ZA shows up I will seriously consider sony.

Hey, "24mm" was not the solution but just on the path to Nirvana! <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='Smile' />

Well, there's also a penalty in terms of corner performance but it does break the center res record.

It _may_ reach the 4* mark but I've to look into this again.
