Doing all things Canon, MFT, Sony and Fuji
An interesting offering, however Canon is not Sony and it shoulve severe competition from the EF lenses, EF 85mm f1.8 is now quite cheap even the 85mmf1.2 and F1.4 would compete very well on the price and quality side without forgetting all the EF third party lenses, so if it's not really good or aggressively priced it won't be an easy task selling.
Maybe a decent 50f1.4 would make more sense since Canon 50f1.4 is practically unusable wide open...
The 85/1.8 is adaptable to E-mount, too, so what? The difference is that there's a wealth of intermediate native options for the the E mount whereas in the RF mount you either go all out (85/1.2L), adapt, or... get this Samyang. I know I probably would go the latter route, because the L is very hard to justify in comparison - over 3x the price ($2700 at B&H) for just 1/3~1/2 stop larger aperture. Yes it's probably amazing but lots of people will never afford - or justify - the L.
I stick to EF mount and I'd just get the Tamron if I feel the itch for a fast 85.
