I've started out with digital photography in late 2001, but began working as a journalist in 2003, around May. So I've had an anniversary this year as well. :-)

Hard to tell when was the first time, however I surely took photos  with Intel® Pocket PC Camera in 2000

My first digital camera was Canon 300D in 2004

Early August 2003 for me, a camera I borrowed, a Canon Ixus 4 or 40 I think.

Early 2004, March, I got my own and first digital camera, Canon G5, and my first dslr in November 2005, a Canon 350D.

But hey, I got my first camera over 60 years ago, and my first slr 50 years ago .... <ROFL>.

Kind regards, Wim

So it looks 2023 is an anniversary year... in some way... for most of us here. Smile

I suppose I can add another anniversary this year - the E-1 was my first digital camera (and, as such, it was also my first DSLR) - 20 years ago. And I miss it. ;-)

Still a few months to go though.

More than 20 years ago I bought a Kodak 820mb digital camera at the flea market for 50 francs, it did not work ..... the shutter button was melted and I fiddled and farted with it, then suddenly I got a musical jingle and it came on ... 11 images on a 4 mb flash card ... I looked through the menu which was limited and already the two AA cells were wasted ... it took very mediocre waxy but colourful images ... I sold it for 400 francs ..... from then on I caught GAS

I just noticed the anniversary thread, and, thinking of it, it is also my 20th year. I think it June when I started using first digital, Optio S. It took another 3 years to switch to DSLR.
