FYI, I've just ordered it. Time ago I placed it on a wish list with the idea of comparing it with the original Trioplan, in part out of curiosity, in part with the idea that I could eventually replace the latter with the former — if it has similar optical rendering — with almost no expense (I think I should be able to sell the Trioplan for almost the same price) and the Leica-M mount version plus adapter is smaller than the Trioplan plus M-mount adapter (it could be also lighter). It wasn't a priority, but I just discovered that it's discounted at Amazon until tonight.
I'll let you know (but not very soon).

Well, my math was a total failure for weight. Got it and these are the facts:
Trioplan: 100mm/282g
M42/e-mount adapter: 25mm/68g
Total: 125mm/350g
TT Artisan: 100mm/392g
Leica M/e-mount adapter: 10mm/52g
Total: 110mm/444g
So, yes, it's shorter, but definitely heavier: 94g. The adapter is quite heavy given its smaller size, but I don't think one can save more than 20g.
While the M42 mount should be really better:
TT Artisan: 80mm/318g according to the specs
M42/e-mount adapter: 25mm/68g
Total: 105mm/384g
Epic failure :-) It must be the hot weather. ;-)

Hi SD,
epic weight failure or not, it would be nice to hear your comments on IQ/ rendering and maybe see some images from this lens ....
