Dear Forum,

my name is David and I have just registered to figure out if either I am too stupid or if my XF16-80mm is faulty. 

I have bought a used XF16-80 from a big german website and used it last weekend for the first time.

No matter which focal length I see some weird things going on. Please see the test shot attached. Left building sort of in focus while right-hand building and bridge are totally smeared. That can’t be motion blur nor camera shake.

EXIF: f 6.4 | 22.3 mm | 1/250 s

Does anyone have an idea what could cause that?

Your lens needs serious repairs, there's a dislocated element, return it as soon as possible.

For the lens to produce images like that it has more than likely been dropped ......
