I, for one, love the 45mm f/2.8. Ok, it could be a stop faster really but the mechanical quality of the thing is nothing short of outstanding and it's just fun to use.

Right? On a certain site, you can probably guess, I often wonder if people are paid to make comments? Either by the site to get advertising dollars or free swag from the manufacturers. or by manufacturers themselves to improve sales. 

Yes, I'm often floored when the new version comes out and last years version is crap (that's almost putting it politely), and how did you ever manage to take a decent picture with the last years version? Every incremental change isn't incremental at all. In fact it's a giant leap for mankind....
