Next OL lens test report... so sweet to read Big Grin
Seem Viltrox is going on Sigma steps, in a few years maybe less it will become a serious player just like Sigma and Tamron
I own a viltrox tiny flash , In can say for the price and size it's an awesome piece of gear (RP doesn't have a built in flash)

Thanks for the review, Klaus.
I think it's indeed a fantastic value.
The soft borders at f1.4-2 shouldn't be a problem for most applications and the center is sharp enough.
Only downside: busy bokeh under certain circumstances.
As soon as it's available in Switzerland, I'll probably buy it.

I had 2 copies of the Fuji 23 f1.4 and both had AF inaccuracy issues (on a X-T1 and X-T20). It's something that had never happened to me before with mirrorless. I have the 23mm f2 and this one is fine. And I don't want to try a 3rd sample of the 23 f1.4 to find out has the same issue as the other 2 I tried before.
Instead, I will try this Viltrox. For the price, I don't have much to loose.

Lenstip has reviewed this one. They claim record-breaking sharpness by f/2.8 and f/4 but soft borders at f/1.4 and f/2 (probably in part due to coma), and strong LOCA. Not too dissimilar from Klaus's results.
