I'm wondering about the degree of panic over at Nikon ...

But then, this is only JP.

EOS-M, the Canon cash cow is nose diving too. Even in Japan where it sells very good.

Is it? It's in 3rd, 6th and 9th place. It is going down, that's true, but it is also a 2018 camera, and Canon has released a much improved APS-C sensor, albeit in a higher cost, EVF-less body for some unclear reason (and which is not in the list...). I would wager that many are waiting for the next generation of the M50 (and/or liquidation of the current M50).

The Z6 and Z7 are nowhere to be seen in the top 50 ... and that's their future.

Canon future is also FF mirrorless.  #30  EOS R.
I cannot see RP in this lst. Some call it the successor of Digital Rebel.

I have obe question. How big is the FF mirrorless market? any numbers available?

My impression is that nether Canon nor Nikon sells a lot of FF mirrorless but any numbers can proves that I'm wrong.

I have no worry with Nikon camera desivison- Nikon is strong in western world. Just look at google trends

It's funny to see what the market researchers thought about the future a few years back ... ;-)

vs reality ...

When you look at this, it's actually quite amazing that there are still so many players and so many new product announcements.

And it's also amazing that this portal is still in business (sort of).

I agree, which is why I ask here so often ...... "who are buying all these new lenses?"

Nikon seem to have lost contact with the importance of keeping an on going buzz about their company and it's new products ...... the Nikon buzz is vapourising before our very eyes ......

......... and maybe it's time for an industry rethink about keeping everything under wraps until launch dates ......  too much secrecy can let customers slip away to another brand because of a lull in the action.

You don't see that from Tesla for example ....... their plans about their products are showcased a year or more in advance in seminar form ...... it's clear what they will do, nothing is a secret ...... and people love it

btw.  ..... their share prices are absolutely sky rocketing  ...... right now they are at $1,555 per share ....

Tesla is now officially the richest car manufacturer in the world!

Only you call the EOS RP the successor of "Digital Rebel".

Yeah, Miro. Nowhere do they call it the successor of Digital Rebel.

And what they do write makes little sense either, as they fail to make clear that "digital rebel" always has had APS-C 1.6x crop sensors, and the RP offers an FF sensor.

In reality, the RP follows the film SLR rebel line, like the EOS 300, and follows the EOS 5D, EOS 6D in offering FF for lower prices than before at their time of introduction.
In reality, the EOS M line and in particular the EOS M50 is the "successor" of the "Digital Rebel" line (even though the "Digital Rebel" line continues to exist and be developed).
