No, the "black excess" is stretched out of the "MP" frame, and only then chopped off. The corrected image is bigger than the original distorted image, before all the chopping.

I've reread a few reviews here in the Zone and it looks like there's no getting away from this kind of auto-correction being ubiquitous, at least in lenses that are not "dumb". Never thought I'd be the one to bemoan the onset of modernity and yearn for the days of yore, though. Smile

The Canon RF 24-240mm lens has similar black corners when uncorrected. tellculvers com This is most likely spam content taco bell breakfast hours

It's true that this lens isn't intended to be used without auto-correction, but even so, it's still quite good. Actually, the samples are very good. austin party photo booth
