Wow, that was quick.
In the vein of my usual armour-piercing questions, I'm wondering if it's aiming for record levels of barrel distortion at 20mm (when uncorrected)...

Well, as long as it's sharp (but if the distortions are too heavy ...).

My take on distortion is pretty much in line with what dpr says here: https://www.dpreview.com/articles/212819...orrections

It's the final result that counts.

That might be an issue in case the lens is adapted (yes, I'm always talking about the same thing...)

Well it seems you actually do have Sony E to Z mount adapter https://megadap.net/product/megadap-sony...ter-etz21/ it's not cheap though

I don't have one. Not in a great hurry to get any E mount gear anyway because I'm well set with adapted EF lenses. Yeah it's bulky but I'm in no financial shape to start reshuffling anything just for the sake of compactness. Besides, I want to keep the compatibility withy Canon cameras.

What I was more curious about is, are the corrections available when using new E mount lenses with old (like, two or three generations back) E mount cameras? How is it all even done - are they stored lens-side or camera-side? (Sorry for being a little dumb, I really don't know)
