I noticed this, too, specifically in some clouds. Possibly a sensor effect due to the contrasts.
Lateral CAs are measured at black-light gray transitions (just like the MTFs). The situation is different once you run into clipping - from here on it's more related to purple fringing.
While the 12/2 shows some bokeh fringing it isn't really relevant in these landscape shots.
