Well, it is advisable to use the Sony lens from ~f/5.6-9 only. The Oly has a broader scope than that for mainstream images.

It is a superior lens but obviously also in a very different price league.



Remember that you shouldn't compare the MTF numbers. Just compare the bar charts from a 1m distance - this is a valid approach to some degree.
