Klaus is right, the sensor is (8.8x6.6)mmsq, about 20% larger han the LX5!!!!

Well, Sammy is correct. I took 1/1.8" as a reference.
The S95 has a sensor size of 7.49x5.52mm = 41.3 sqmm.
