Klaus, I have a question.
The field curvature thing - does the focal plane curve towards shorter focusing distances at the corners? i.e. if I focus the center to infinity, are the corners in focus at 3 m or something like that? If so, one could consider field curvature to be a benefit! Poor man's tilt. The upper corners don't matter if there's featureless sky.
Or is it the other way around (center at infinity, corners are past infinity)?
