The D300s can be had for around 1.100€ new and from 900 to 950 used. I would wait to see what is coming, but a D300s is still more camera than the d7000. If you have to have something fast, a D90 with a 18-105 zoom sells for around 750€ and the D90 i still great as a second housing.
