As BC says, try them both.
Some would decide on the D7000, some on the 60D. It really depends what's important to you
BC would choose the 60D for the reasons given, I chose the D7000 for the mag-alloy shell (and am very glad I did, after I dropped the camera last weekend! Not sure a plastic body would have survived) low-light performance, image quality, twin SD card slots, and a few other reasons, including weight and size.
I also considered the Pentax K-5, and actually, that felt better in my hands than the D7000, but they didn't have the lens I'd shortlisted, and a couple other things against it... but it certainly felt 'right'
