Am I the only one that cares about the AF performance? That is the single biggest reason why previous attempts from everyone else I can't consider yet to be a good all rounder.
As for going "super tele" I have tried it before. I can't reliably hand hold 1000mm+ equivalent even with IS and I'm not a tripod in field person.
One detail I haven't looked at yet, does the 1 or lenses have some kind of stabilisation? Again not essential but certainly handy on longer focal lengths.
