I don't see the One as "The One" camera to rule them all. It has its place. Just where is the sensor size related sweet spot for DoF? FF? APS-C? 4/3? All will argue for them. While CX is of course smaller than those, it still provides an interesting balance. If I decide to get one, it wont replace my DSLRs for a while, if ever. But to me the hybrid AF serves a useful point that existing mirrorless players do not offer, and I rate that far more useful than a bigger sensor.
My only worry is how well does that AF really work? There was a Fuji compact that also offered hybrid phase/contrast AF. In reviews it was basically described as worthless as it didn't work unless you have all the light in the world, and outside that it was no different from other contrast AF systems. I think the bigger sensor of the Nikon will help it here. If the Nikon doesn't deliver on the AF promise, only then would I relegate it to ranks of the Q.
