Exactly. Single-shot was a minor issue early on, and with the latest generation, it is now a non-issue. That is done. Making it faster isn't really going to make a significant difference. What will make a difference is "SLR like" continuous AF. To a point, I would pick that over a bigger sensor for 95%+ of what I shoot. 2.7x crop I think is still within my comfort zone, which I think would stretch as far as 4x. I don't mind a 2nd (or 3rd...) camera for specific uses if I do really need that bigger sensor.
