Maybe it is a pretty nice second or third camera, that can do things the SLR's can't! I find it reassuring that someone is not trying to ccompete with himself. Makes perfect marketing strategy sense.

Yes, the man in Blois hits the nail on the head, I think
Nikon is too big to live on the purchases from the group of people who would correspond with PZ forum (or Nikon Rumors for that matter). DSLRS are a mature product in their life cycle, most people are not buying each product iteration. The market is close to saturation, really.
And yes, we need to see reviews, RAW images, and get 'hands on' and beyond written specs.
