And why should this "fact" only be valid for differently sized digital sensors, but not differently sized analog films of past decades?

First of all, film sensitivities within the same format were based on sensitivity. Not so with sensors. You know that.
For the rest, analog to sensors. With film, the size of corn of a certain emulsion makes how sensitive a film is. With sensors, how big a sensel is makes how sensitive a sensor is. Difference with sensors is that ISO is not related in any way to sensitivity, you can just set the amplification however you wish. Not so with film.
Also analog to digital. when you use a hole which is smaller in the lens (aperture), the light passing through will be less. So if you had a 2x crop (compared to 135 format) film, and you shot with a 50mm f2 lens, and on 135 format you shot with a 100mm f2 lens, the 100mm lens would let through a lot more light for the same exposure duration.
The bigger pixels of a D3 are analog to bigger corn on more sensitive film.
