Plausible?
My ???? were about your sentence which seems to make no sense. But I am the wrong person to ask about that conclusion... as I too find the Nikon 1 sensor format a bit silly small. And if I would not have enough in a good compact digital, I would want/need a camera which then offers bigger DOF play.
For me it is not so much about "IQ" as it is about creative possibilities, and then I don't see the Nikon 1 as logical step up from a good compact digital either. Its size is its main "advantage", yet with a lens it is not pocketable like a digital compact.
I think the V1 is very very ugly (really), but I do like the looks sort of of the J1 (in black), and it would look pretty cool with my ultra micro nikkors (provided there will appear suitable adapters/helicoid thingies). But as "system camera" I do not see the point.

Well I don not write sentences to make sense to "you"... Do not read them if you don't like or do not reply if you don't get the idea. But of course this is not the first time and will not be the last time that you "easily" misunderstand and miss the point (maybe intentionally)... The point is, drawing such silly conclusions based only on IQ comparisons with non-comparable products, and doing this for a product which is not yet placed in the market officially, is a very useless thing and creates a sterile discussion. It just takes space in the useless side of the net. I personally see those kind of brand-worshipper reviews as "disinformation" and have no tolerance for such crap. It is basicly misusage of the information medium (here, internet). Furthermore, the way the statements are written is very childish because one can sense that it's kind a smear campaign including a subtle fear that V1/J1 can replace G12.
