It depends on how you frame your pictures. Look at Studor13's photos on page 1 of this discussion. Corners are either sky or dark areas.
In my own pictures, corners are usually sky, out-of-focus, dark, or boring areas. Of course, I also have a few (less than 10%) where sharp corners were nice to have and I was happy to shoot with a PZ 4* prime lens <img src='http://forum.photozone.de/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />
