Just something that I observed that might be useful when doing the reviews... while the Nex cameras themselves don't have a NR "off" option (only "weak" and "auto"), the Sony Image Data Converter SR RAW conversion software has a NR off option. It brings back massive amounts of detail even in noisy shots.
I'm not sure how genuine this "off" claim is but the images looked more like Canon RAW files (with NR off), instead of like Nikon RAW files which have [url="http://forum.photozone.de/index.php?/topic/162-how-does-nikon-do-it/"]unusually[/url] low chroma noise for files from digital sensors.
Another interesting option that I noticed was "highlight color distortion correction". I noticed the highlights looked more like the Canon RAW highlights when this was turned on. Not sure what my recommendation on this is for a review.
